Still preggers in Canada!

Just a shout out to family and friends to say that we are still awaiting little "chick pea" (sex unknown). Robin is pushing 38 weeks and READY to go! We have been walking, jogging, hauling wood and other activities that are supposed to bring on labor. There is a betting pool up here on the lake and Dave has picked Monday, September 1st...LABOR DAY! We will see! Hope everyone is doing well. Will keep folks posted as soon as we have any news.

Hangin' with cousin Camile

Catherine enjoys quality time with cousin Camile! After riding home from Coach and Mimi's house on the Sea-doo, Camile helps Catherine get into some warm, dry clothes. Camile helps Catherine with her ABC's. It shows because Catherine is quite the talker now...speaking in complete sentences!

Catherine runs her own restaurant!

We had a cold and blustery day on Lake Temagami (high of 60 F and rainy) today and Catherine decided to build and run a restaurant. She invited all of her friends as special guests; Dora, Charlie and Baby. Catherine took a break from running the business to eat a quick lunch. The fiesta napkins are leftover from cousin Christopher's birthday party recently. The 4th of July plate was a gift from Mamoo. Dora was a gift from Aunt Blair and Uncle Rob.

High Rock

Last year Catherine got carried up High Rock, this year she climbed the whole way herself. Here are some shots of us climbing up and of us on top.

Temagami events

My dad and I attended the annual Ducks Unlimited fundraiser dinner in Temagami. We had a great dinner and participated in several of the raffles. We won a small camoflage chair and ottoman for Catherine that fits her perfectly. When the auctioneer called out our winning ticket number the arena was suddenly quiet at just the moment I screamed in excitement! I was obviously ready to pop in my pink maternity dress, so it was hilarious when, right after my scream, a friend at our table called out "Is there a doctor in the house?!"
Catherine and I attended the Blueberry Festival in the town of Temagami on a beautiful Saturday recently. We enjoyed a pancake breakfast and browsing at some of the tables with local artisans.

Family photos

Brother and sister on Rob's last day on the lake for the summer. Family photo on the back steps of 808 right before the 'cleaning out the fridge' breakfast of french toast, bacon, sausage and of course blueberry cobbler!

More family time in Temagami

Hanging out at Island 808 after dinner one night. Visiting with family on Island 718 after supper and enjoying a big cooked breakfast on Island 731 the morning after a 'camping out' with Coach and Spencer.

Pregnant and swimming!

Catherine and I are enjoying swimming! She will jump off the dock and is really a fish in the water.

Its a dock day on Lake Temagami!

We slept in today (i.e. no running at Bear Island) and instead cooked blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Catherine decided to also go for swim as its a beautiful day on the lake. Later today its off to High Rock!

Temagami Olympic party

Here are some pictures from the Beijing 2008 Olympic party on Lake Temagami. Pictures include opening ceremonies, the singing of the Chinese national anthem, best dressed winner Catherine in her Japanese kimono and a group shot of the closing ceremony. More pictures coming.

Catherine is a budding photographer!

Catherine takes some photos at Mimi and Coach's house.

Catherine goes tubing!

Cousin Spencer takes Catherine tubing! Aunt Blair drives while mommy spots the two of them. They traveled from Island # 731 to 718, to 808 and then to Avards. They were happy but tired!

We got pedicures!

We have dad *some* rainy days and one of our rainy day activities was getting pedicures. Now mommy and Catherine have toes that are "same, same" as Catherine says!

Having lunch on the Lake

Enjoying lunch with friend Allie and cousin Spencer and Mamoo. Grilled cheese, quesadillas, salt and vinegar chips (yeah Canada!) and orange juice.

More fun with the family!

Enjoying spending time at Mimi and Coach's place on the screened in porch and getting to hang out with cousins Spencer and Peyton. Might was well keep our 'lifey' on as we are in and out ALL the time!
