The famous Petronas Towers

The Petronas Towers or Twin Towers are the tallest twin buildings in the world. They were completed in 1998 and were the tallest buildings at that time. Now, the Sears tower and the Taipei 101 top them. The towers have 88 floors and a sky bridge (the tallest in the world) at floors 41 & 42. Patronas, Malaysia’s national oil company occupies one entire tower and the other one is home to various businesses. Maybe you remember the Towers from the movie, Entrapment, with Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones? The first several floor of the Towers are a huge mall, which we did visit. Catherine got a new pair of crocs and we bought some Play-doh! We enjoyed fresh fruit smoothies and a walk through the great park just at the base of the towers.

We decided against a tour up to the sky bridge as it required getting to the Towers prior to 7AM and getting free tickets for entry later in the day. Plus the entry does not take to you to the top of the towers but only to the sky bridge. We figured since our hotel room was on the 37th floor, we didn’t need to go through all that hassle for a few more floors! We did however, go to the KL Menara Tower. More in a future post on this visit.

PS Isn't it amazing that someone with that baby bump can hold up those Towers?!
